The Start of Eternity

Mr. and Mrs. Schaffer
We were married on July 29, 2011 in the Idaho Falls Temple. It was everything I had dreamed of and everything I never expected. I took out my endowments the day before so we only had our Sealing to worry about. We showed up to the temple kind of early so we were able to sit inside the temple with each other reflecting on the future events. The ceremony was wonderful I don't really remember what was said but I remember my heart pounding and looking at Tyson.
We were so grateful to have our family come with us and support us.

After my new last name became official we left the temple to greet our family and friends. Since the Temple grounds were under constructions we went to a near by park to take pictures and have a small luncheon.

We were so busy taking pictures that we didn't get to eat at the luncheon so we settled for Wendy's on our way out of town. That night, we had our Reception at my house. It was a beautiful evening and I was surprised by how many wonderful friends showed up to support us. We were so grateful for their love. We served Cupcakes, huckleberry ice cream and huckleberry salt water taffy. (Which matched my colors perfectly purple and pink) For some reason now that day is a blur now; so many wonderful things happened.
But now that day is in our top favorite days ever.

Our First Christmas

Christmas in Rock Springs.
Ty was on Night Shifts so as soon as he got home around 6:30 a.m. he told me to stay in bed while he stuffed my stocking and set out an empty glass of milk and half a cookie so I would think Santa came. We opened all our presents, we were like kids again so excited about every gift.
Ty got a Blu-Ray Player, a Dutch Oven, a hand saw, some Wyoming gear, a pocket knife and a BBQ cook book. His parents also got us a grill which he is way excited about.

I got a bathrobe, new boots (3 pair :), a couple books, kitchen necessities, socks, Cricut stuff, shirts and the best surprise of all the 2011 Holiday Barbie that I didn't think I would get.

Our First Christmas was very memorable and perfect even though Ty had to work half of it.
We started our own traditions.
