Little Get Away

Ty's parent's had some Utah Jazz tickets and weren't able to go so we got them. We were so excited... not so much for the game but for the chance to get out of town. Ty was also excited because a couple from his mission just moved to Salt Lake City and we made plans to have lunch with them.

It was so fun to get away even though life her is Rock Springs is wonderful. We got to shop all day and I finally got a new coat and a skirt. Lunch was wonderful with the Batteens; I was so grateful that I got a chance to meet them because pretty much every time Ty talks about his mission he mentions them. They are such great people and we had a wonderful time at lunch.
The game was more fun then I thought it would be, we were in the nose-bleed seats but that didn't really matter to us. The game was kind of boring so we left with 5 mins. left and looked up the score later just in case someone asked us who won.
Now is hard to go to Salt Lake City without walking around Temple Square and plus its the place we got engaged so we had to go back to the same spot and think about how much our lives have changed since he popped the question. So the morning after the game we went straight to Temple Square... Then decided to go shopping again because we didn't want to go home right away.

So the Morning was great but lets just say the trip cost a little more then we planned. Our car started to make a funny noise and we were feeling a little nervous driving it back to Wyoming. So of course he dropped me off at a mall and took the car to a PepBoys which was near to the mall and then walked to the mall to meet me. It took them two hours to give us a call back to tell us what was wrong with the car. We had already planned on eating at Olive Garden and we were told there was one super close to the mall, so when we got hungry we started to walk to Olive Garden but of course we went the wrong way, so after asking walking for about 30, and asking for directions, we found out Olive garden is in the same parking lot as the Mall. Lets just say the nice walk made Olive Garden 10 times better. We were also grateful for the the weird warm weather in January. So it turned out that we had to get something fixed on the car but I'm grad we did because we made it safely home; only after we bought oreos and a 1/2 gallon of Milk for the drive home.
